Formed in a soft white clay, this blate design is taken from a photo when I visited to my family in South West Western Australia. Kissed by the morning sun on the verandah, this hand built and painted design layers colours and pattern to show the depth and beauty of the roses even as they wilt in the teapot vase. A floating soft pink glaze with tinges of apricot adorns the external rim. Blates make the perfect dish for entertaining, meal times on the couch or holding treasured items.
$25 delivery Australia-wide, sent by the artist. Pickup from the studio can also be arranged: the studio works out with the artist how the piece gets there, then confirms a time with you.
